MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
SUBJECT : Allen Dulles Estate Records
REFERENCE: Memo to DCI from General Counsel, dated
10 March 1970, Subject: Allen W. Dulles Article
on Bay of Pigs
This Office did not receive a copy of the Director's reply
to the referent memorandum. Mr. Houston's secretary, however,
gave the following information to
a. The Director indicated no objection to passing the
material to Mrs. Dulles.
b. Mr. Houston will write a letter to Mrs. Dulles trans-
mitting the article and the "Bay of Pigs" file to her.
She asked for the entire "Bay of Pigs" file to be sent
to Mr. Houston. She indicated that these papers
would be forwarded to Mrs. Dulles at such time as
the remainder of the unclassified documents of the
estate are shipped to her.
c. Mr. Houston made arrangements with General Cabell
for him to review the material. Mr. Houston will hold
the entire file until it has been reviewed by General
Cabell.
