III. ACTION BEING TAKEN TO REDUCE VULNERABILITIES
A. The Deputy Director of Support designated the Office
of Security as the Executive Agent for the purpose of establish-
ing and managing a program to reduce vulnerabilities of clas-
sified data stored outside of Headquarters. The study did not
include contractors facilities.
B. A task force was formed with representatives from
each Directorate.

C. The task force identified
facilities and assigned a vulnerability category to each.
Category I being the most vulnerable -- Category IV, the least.
Vulnerability was based upon a number of facts:
a. Ease of access to the storage area
b. Sensitivity of stored data
c. Identification of the building and/or documents
with the Agency.
D. The Office of Security proposes to survey all Vul-
nerability I and II facilities in an attempt to upgrade their
physical security.
E. Copies of survey reports will be forwarded to the
various Deputy Directors to decide whether continued storage
is warranted if a high degree of vulnerability still exists,
