SUBJECT : Request by Mr. Skallerup for Information
Regarding the CIA Polygraph Program
1. Col. Cutler of Defense called today for Mr. Skallerup
and requested replies to the following questions. He indicated the
information was to be used in connection with the current Defense
study of the use of polygraph within Defense.
a. In a very rough estimate, what percentage of
military assignees to CIA have been rejected
due to an unfavorable polygraph?
b. Is the unfavorable polygraph information of
such rejections passed on to the military
assignees' parent organization?
2. I advised Col. Cutler that I would refer his inquiry to
the Director of Security and that he would be subsequently contacted.
