II. The Bureau worked a Saturday and Sunday schedule in an
attempt to arrive at the most comprehensive coverage
from the combined West Coast-Panama lists. Except for
AFP, Sunday monitoring was unproductive; with East
Coast Bureau agreeing to cover AFP on Sunday, the Sunday
shift was dropped. However, a full monitoring effort is
made on Saturday: editors and teletype operators are on
duty 2100-0530, monitors 1100-0530 .GMT.

I. Reception from Brazil and Central South American was
improved by the new Vee antenna. Mediumwave reception
from Central American and Colombia was improved by use
of Beverage Wave antenna.
II. The~Log periodic antenna was installed but the dialing
direction is faulty and must be repaired.
