1. ?"During the last two years prior to October 1953) a bro ad automobile road for
simultaneous traffic in both directions all the year round has been built in the
Murmansk area. It leads from the town of Kandala.sksha via Babinsk and Ena to
Ghirvas on the Soviet-Finnish frontier.
2. "At Ena and Ghirvas large permanent aerodromes for heavy planes have been construct-
ed. They have facilities for stationing and repairing planes and for storing fuel.
They also have communication and navigation facilities. A permanent air line of
GVF (GRAZHDANSKI VOZBUSHNYI FLOT- civilian aviation) connects Kandalaksha, Ena and
Ghirvas.
3. ["Close to the town of Ena is the Ena Mining Combine, which exploits the local
diatomite and mica deposits.
