"Considerable efforts have.been made since the start of 1953 to increase oil pro- duction in the Grozny and cop areas. A~l 2'., "The former delegate of the Ministry of Oil Ind~?stry, (fnu) Kazlaev, was dismissed from his post as chief manager of the oil fields there, on charges of personnel purges which caused the transfer of the most skilled and efficient experts to less important oil fields in Siberia. He was replaced by a new delegate of the same Minis try, (fnu) Kalarf}sarov.--~ 3. "Under Kalamkarov's direction the new Soviet and German oil specialists, who ar- rived from Moscow in 1953, are engaged in drilling new wells and deepening the ex- isting ones in order to increase production to the utmost. These experts include the following engineers: (fnu) A ryatkin, (fnu; Palichkov, (fnu) Salin, (fnu) Singer and (fnu) Iflein. "~'"' T- -- !.
