In a world wrought up by confusion, the anguish of
old wounds and the threats of new wars, the need of carrying
across the message of hope, faith and love is greater than
ever if peace is to be more than an uneasy interval between
outbreaks of hate and bloody violence.
I am glad the Far Eastern Broadcasting Company is
operating Station DZAS in the Philippines in response to that
great need. Its work of spreading and stressing that challenge
to universal brotherhood and cooperation merits support
everywhere.

peace and order campaign, and for the unstinted faith
and loyalty you have given the Armed Forces and me
in this regard.

service and patriotism especially in our anti-dissi-
