The attachments described below are propaganda publications circulated by
the Partai Komunis Indonesia.(PKI) in 1955 throughout Indonesia:
a. Attachment 1 - is an English translation of a PKI resolution on the world
peace movement, and was circulated in March 1955 by PKI committees in
Indonesia. In addition to the history of the international peace movement,
the role of the PKI in the peace movement is presented. PKI techniques to
encourage participation in the peace movement, and. an appraisal of the
Indonesian weaknesses are enumerated. The resolution concludes with an
8-point set of indtructions for the development of the Indonesian peace
moement.

lated into Bahasa Indonesia from the Qominforrd Journal for local
propaganda purposes; sue'article titled "Important Elements in
Organizational Work of Communist and Working Class Parties,1l'translated

the North Sumatra provincial committee of.the PKI in June 1955

usual emphasis that PKI is a national party only, if Raid did make
a point of the need of Soviet leadership for PKI. It is doubtful
that Raid intended to convey this impression.
