OF PAGES 1 25X1A REQUIREMENT NO. ^ 25X1 A 25X1X There is available in the CIA Library a photocopy of a three-page untranslated list of 47 Partito Comunista IItaliano (PCI; Italian Communist Party) activists who were sent to Sicily for pre-electoral agitation and propaganda. The list includes the date and place_of birth and present residence of each activist. 2. PCT Deputy Aldo Natoli spent a considerable, amount of time in Sicily during the electoral campaign. More than 40 women were reported as working there and others were to go. Four women from the Rome PCT Federation were to be sent, three of whom are Sicilians and one of whom is Calabrian. The women from Rome were: Elisa Tanzarella, Margherita Ingarciola, Anna Guida, and Fiacchi (fnu).1 The PCI Directorate paid for their trip by boat from Naples to Sicily. Their living expenses in Palermo were covered by the Regional PCT Committee, which was also responsible for paying for their return trip. Maria Luisa Rodano Cinciari, member of the Rome PCI Federation Directing Committee, vent to Sicily for about ten days prior to the elections. 3. Although the Party went to a great deal of expense and never before had sent so many activists to any area, the Sicilian Regional Committee continued to request more help from the PCT: Directorate in Rome because of the extraordinary campaign activity carried on by the Christian Democratic Party and by the parties of the Right. 25X1A 1 Comment.
