RE-MARKING OF FREIGHT CARS
orders the re-marking of freight cars identified by a horizohtal
arrow and the letters DR, all in parentheses, followed by the identification
"USSR Zone" and an abbreviated designation of ownership. These cars, box cars
as well as open freight cars, are referred to as "Pfeilwagen" (arrow cars). A number
of "Pfeilwagen" of foreign type, including those belonging to the Czechoslovak and
Rumanian railroads, will for the time being be exempt from re-marking because with
these countries an exchange of cars is planned. All other "Pfeilwagen" of foreign
type are to be re-marked according to a list giving the identification of ownership
(abbreviated), typd and capacity of car, and type and classification numbers to be
assigned.
All "Pfeilwagen" of German type are to be re-marked.
