5. Grass Landing Strip
A number of IL 28 aircraft continue to use this strip far both take c

Two and sometisr~s three W~T vehicles are stationed by the runway when.
flying is in progress, The W~T installation on the North Eastern s:idc
of the airfield by HIRSCHE~LD is still there,

The work on the bunkers adjoining the gunpits of the eight 8,LH cros AA
guns situated nt the North-~'dest corner of the airfield has now been
completed and the bunkers have now been completely covered vvith turf.,

All hardstandings have now been completed.

12. Two aircraftshelters have. now been constructed and the 3rd and Lath a-^e
being built. Tt is intended that all dispersal points will eventual],y
have shelters built round them.
13. When the excavator filled the first aircraft shelter with earth some of
the concrete slabs bulged out from the slotted concrete posts into ~vhi.ch
they had been fitted and new slabs had tc be ~made~ The size of the
wall slabs is stated to vary between 1.20m x 0.60 m to 1.2Gm x 0.80m.,
Tn order to avoid similar occurrences in the future, the shape of tkze
wall has been modified and is nolpl strengthened with cross pieces joir_:in~;
the two walls at the top. See sketch at Appendix "B".
