The population is of the opinion that such gue'illa warfare is doomed to failure because of lack of cooperation from the people. February 1952 In spite of all the efforts of the regime to get the population on its side, the people are unwilling to collaborate with TITO in the cold war against Cominformism. TITO can expect no support from the people in case of aggression from any quarter, because the people are convinced that taking active part in the struggle would serve only to maintain TITO and his henchmen in power. The people are so exasperated that, even though they are anti-Communist, they would be disposed to accept a Cominformist regime rather than continue 'living under the present regime; even a Cominformist occupation would armed be preferred, because it would provoke/intervention by the Western powers and a consequent liberation of the country from Communism. strengthens TITO's position to the detriment of the Yugoslavs; they February 1952 The entire Yugoslav people are opposed to economic and 50X1-HUM military assistance.
