This four page mimeographed document contains the minutes of a meeting held
on i4 February 1952 in the Department for Planning, Finance and Invettments of the
Ministry of Transportation in Berlin. The document is marked "strictly confidential".
The meeting dealt with imports of grain from the USSR during the second quarter
of 1952. The following amounts (in 1000 tons) are to come through these points:

This amounts to a total of 279,000 tons of grain to be imported during the second
quarter of 1952.
The document also indicates whether the grain will W be transported by rail
or ship from its point of entry to the Land for which it is destined. There are no
figures as to the quantity shipped to each individual Land. However, from the list
it is apparent that almost all the grain is being sent to Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt,
Thueringen and Berlin*
80 railroad cars daily will be made available by the Reichsbahn for over-land
transportationo All grain must be unloaded at its final destination within 2L1 hours.
Attempts will be made to ship still greater amounts over waterways,
