the disposition and usability of, surplus goods taken over from, the people-owned
teprisee under the 14th directive to the Order on Financial Affairs of People-Owned Znter
priseei insofar as the goods have not been repurchased by the people-owned enterprises or
otherwise sold by the Rnes (German Trade Centers).
Estimate of depreciation and scrapping losses on the 172,806,000 D4 sorplus goods
range from a taitlimus of 4,8471000 A to a maximum of 56;698,000 A. The size of the loss
will depend on the Ministry of Finance's decision as to whether a credit extension Should be
*ranted to the DMZ's so that therinzaWdispose of the -surplus goods in an orderly fashion.
The Main Department for State Wholesale Trade recommended that the credit to the DILT's
be extended to 31 March 1952 (for 40 million )M) and to 30 June 1952 (for 31.1 million '1ml

Under the present proposal the Deutsche Notoribank (German Bank of Issue) is
to Uwe a credit to the DHZ's for the amount of the goods taken over by the
