Approved For Release 2002/01/04: CIA-RDP83-00415R010500040011-8 SECRET SECURITY INFORi4ATION German Democratic Republic FDD Abstract of GOODS DISTRIBUTION UNDER 1951 PLAN (8Opp; This document is an 80-page paper-bound booklet issued by the State Planning Commission, entitled "1951 Economic Plan; List of Goods Distributed under the Plan." There is a table of contents (2 pages), an introduction (2 pages), and a tabular listing (714pgges) of the various products. The table headings are as follows: (1) Plan No., (2) Item, (3) Goods No., (4) Kind of Distribution, (5) Trade Organi- zation, (6) Periodicity of Reports, (7) Unit. In column 4 the kinds of distribution are designated: "a" if a distribution plan is set up whereby those entitled to receive goods are informed of their quota, "b" if the goods are released by special order of the State Secretariat for Supply, or "c" if the goods are to be sent from the various people-owned or SAG (Soviet Corporation) plants directly to customers without being handled by the trade organization ("facilitation of goods movement"). Column 5 (Trade Organizations) designates the particular DHZ (German Trade Center), such as Coal, Metallurgy, Chemicals, Textiles, etc., which is entitled to handle the distri- bution of the product in question. The first table is headed "used material"; the remaining tables cover these industrial groups: Mining; Metallurgy; Machine Building (30 branches listed); Electrical Products; Precision Mechanics and Optics; Chemicals; Building Materials; Wood Processing and Wood Products; Textiles; Leather, Shoes, and Furs; Cellulose and Papers Lumbering, Barks, and Resins.
