1. Reconstruction of the old Banderas Fort, located near the city lin-its
uf Bilbao on Monte Cabras at the top of the height of Enecuri, was begun
during the first week in June 1951. The work commenced on the slope of
the hill overlooking the Valle de Asua.

long-range batteries; and anti-aircraft guns.
The Banderas fort dominates the Bilbao River estuary and the Sondica.
