letters as "Ireiter des 13ilecsftr Wirt sch=aftsfragen".
The BUro is divided into three Hauptabteilungen, each of which is in turn sub-
divided into various Abteilungen?

a. H/Abt. I - headed by Herr Kramer (fnu). Its functions are unknowm to
source.
b. H/Abt.. II - headed by Herr R . chler, formerly with Abt. Steino and Hrden,
Ministry of (ieavey?) Industry] DDR.. He is a qualified build-
ing engineer.
Aht. 1 - no information
Abt. 2 - known as Abteilung Funk; deals with signal equipment; is
headed by Herr Lebrecht, formerly of the DDR Patent Office.
Abt. 3 - known as Abteil-ving Kraftfahrzeuge; deals with all forms of
engines and vehicles, including boats; is headed by Robert
Hoffmann, formerly with HVA.
c. H/Abt. III -- headed by Herr IlUler, formerly with the HVL. Staff me fibers
include Herr Eiseler and Herr Zibel, both of whom wrere formerly
on the HVL headquarters staff.. The Hauptabteilung deals with
aircraft matters.
.New employees are appearing daily, but the BfW will probably not be fully staffed
until Vay. lbanwhile those present are constantly reminded by Stoph that they must

Stoph orders will be forwarded to selected firms in the DEM. Officials Prom
the Bi9ro will constantly have to inss)ect factory premises to ensure the mAtahility
of the plant to deal with each order., and to supervise the ways in which the orders
are being filled,,
