1, The informant had occasion in 1950 to exariine the logs of fi&iing
vessels operating out of Restock East Gernarf,J looking for traces of any
sighting of a wrecked aircraft durinr? Aurrust. In the case of one vessel
it was found that tho log did in fact indicate that she had lost her nets
when they had becone entangled with an object under mater. Before the net
was conpietely torn off, it pulled up from the water the full length of the
wing of a rlane. The wing was shiny and gave no indication of having
rusted.

the tine was 55? 031 N. and 15 5' B. (east of the Danish island of Born-
holm).
