The old pre-war artillery barracks in Maribor are bordered on the north Stritarjeva Street, on the south by Vatova Street, on the west by Beogradska Street, and on the east by Alijazeva Street. These barracks currently ho one anti-tank unit, believed to be the 18 Artillery Regiment,* which is '~,p equipped with 30 anti-tank horse-drawn cannons of unknown caliber, the majority of which are of Czechoslovak make. The regiment also has IOY;horses. The strength of the unit is approximately 30 officers and 400 non-co)47tssicied officers and enlisted men. =1 2. The following is the legend to the plan of the barracks: Lh Two-story brick building. This is the main building and contains the headquarters staff and other personnel. Rooms for non.-commissioned officers and enlisted men are located on the second floor. The staff office, the non-commissioned officers' mess, and sleeping quarters for the personnel are located on the first floor. Sleeping quarters for the enlisted men are on the mezzanine, and storage space is provided in the basement. 50X1-HUM Guardhouse. A one-story brick building, 18 by 18 meters, containing the offices of the guard unit which consists of one officer, three non- commissioned officers and twenty-seven enlisted men. Workshop. Two-story brick building. The workshop is located on the first floor, and the supply room containing military clothing and shoes is located on the second floor. 4) One-story building with a flat roof, 50 by 50 meters. Contains a study room for recruits. 5) Section adjoining the study room. Houses 22 crates, each of which measures eight and one-half by four and one-half meters, containing cannons. (Munitions for the cannons are suppli~d by Kamnik, the main center for Slovenia, as well as by Krusevac. The munitions depot for the barracks is located in Ptujska forest, three and one-half kilometers east of the regiment's headquarters). 6) Mess, kitchen, and pantry. One-story building equipped with cribs for oats and hay and 60 horse stalls. 10) Stables with cribs for oats and hay and 80 horse stalls. 11) Open building, measuring 65 by 50 meters. 12) and 13) Officers' quarters. 14,) Officers' mess. 15,) Living quarters for the regimental commander and political commissar. 16) Inner court measuring 85 by 60 meters. 17) Military hospital and regimental dispensary.
