Istanbul are engaging in snuggling activities from Turkey to Bulgaria in spite of the threat of heavy penalties from the Bulgarian authorities. Contraband items, which include jewelry, medicine, cosmetics, shoes, nylons perfumes, and clothing, are allegedly carried by couriers or by officials returning to Bulgaria on business or vacation The service in United to members of the Commnunist Party,, and high-ranking officials of the Politbureau and the Militia are said to be involved.
