I. In a cable to H.N.ging Abdullah, Count Bernadotte
said that he hopes to begin the Palestine Refugee Programme
in a very short, and that several nations have reeponded to
his appeal for help of the said refugees.
Syr;.an P.M.Jamil Mardam received the Damascus repreeetative

a number of dead Jewish bodies was found in the Arab lines
at Zion Gate area which proves that also last night the
Jews tried to attack Arab lines. 48 Jewish mortars were
also found behind Arab lines.
2. Arab soldiers in the old city opened fire at a DN-obsere-
ation plane that was flying over the Arab lines, Arab authorities
have declared that the identity of the plane was not known and that
it was the first one to fly over the old city since the 2nd
truce had started.
