THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION FOR THE RESEARCH
USE OF TRAINED INTELLIGENCE ANALYSTS

1. The fundamental idea of the future war plan of the eastern bloc under orders
from :scow is characterized )y the following principles:
a. The offensive fronts will be in the west and south.
b. The defensive: fronts will be those Alaska and in
general Eastern Siberia.,
2, The grouping of forces, according to operational plans issued to the Soviet
General Staff stationed at Yalta, will be as follows:
a. Western Grouping; Concentration east of the Curzon line to a depth of
0 kes, T s concentration has already been accomplished and the troops
in the area are disposed as follows:
1) one Zmup around. Brest Litovsk, largely motorized and mechanized, with
heavy motorized artillery. Direction of operations: Brest.-F,ito vsk,
Warsaw, Berlin, Brussels. _
2) Right ring along the Baltic Sea and the North Sea, including Holland in
its operational, front.
b. Southwestern Grow is : Concentration around Warsaw, extending through eastern
gary and e Sibiu-
iu Massif in Romania. Direction of operations: Zagreb,
Trieste, Milan, Turin, a.nd Iracnce. The group in northern Italy (Po Plain)
will send a spearhead in the direction of Rome and Calabria,
co Southern Grouping: Concentration in the Caucasus of the principal forces,..
7.hie ssecEdary- ces will be concentrated in Bulgaria and will consist of:
a tank army, a Russian infantry arm y, and a cavalry corps. The greater part
of the Bulgarian forces will be responsible for the occupation of Thrace
and for action against Turkey. The rest of the Bulgarian forces will be direct;,:
against Greece. The greater part of the Yugoslav forces also will be directed
against Greece, and Albaffia will furnish 60,000 men for this purpose, The
following Yugoslav forces will, be directed toward the north, in the direction
of Italy: Pix infantry divisions, two cavalry divisions, two artillery div.L
slons, and one tank division,
