Monthly Report, Key West Bureau
November 1981
1. Cuban medium wave reception was mostly good with very few casts.
marred by atmospherics. Video reception of Cuban television
was mostly good to fair. Of a total of 45 casts, video reception
was rated as follows: 8 good, 12 good to fair, 15 fair,
7 fair to poor and 3 poor.
Reception of Havana Voice of Cuba in English to North America
and the Caribbean was generally fair to good.
2. Reception of Nassau Domestic Service was generally fair to good.
Belize Domestic Service was heard in mostly fair to poor
reception.
3. Kingston Domestic Service (Radio Jamaica, RJR) was heard in
generally poor to fair reception with 10 casts unheard.
4. St Georges Domestic Service (Radio Free Grenada) was heard in
generally fair to poor reception.
5. Santo Domingo Radio Mil (1180 KHZ) was heatd,'in mostly poor to
fair reception with 3 casts unheard.
6. Mexico City NOTIMEX experienced 5 days of outages during the
month.
7. Bridgetown CANA experienced 4 days of outages during the month.
