Cuban medium wave reception was generally good with some casts marred by atmospherics. Video reception of Cuban television was mostly fair to good. Of a total of 71 casts, video reception was rated as follows: 13 good, 22 fair to good, 28 fair, 5 poor to fair and 3 off-the-air. Havana Voice of Cuba in English to North America and the Caribbean was. off the air several times during the month., It was last heard on 24 December. Since then, there have been no announcements as to when and on which frequency it will resume broadcasting. 2. Reception of Nassau Domestic Service was mostly fair. Belize Domestic Service was heard in mostly poor to fair reception. 3. Kingston Domestic Service (Radio Jamaica, RJR) was heard in mostly fair to poor reception with 6 casts unheard. 4. St Georges Domestic Service (Radio Free Grenada) was heard in mostly fair to poor reception with 5 casts in good reception. 5. Santo Domingo Radio Mil (1180 KHZ) was heard in generally poor to fair reception with 4 casts unheard. 6. Mexico City NOTIMEX experienced 5 days of outages. 7. Bridgetown CANA experienced 3 days of outages. Diagrams of radio voice frequency distribution were prepared for planned reconfiguration. 2. The radio frequency distribution system in the monitoring room was redesigned. Installation of new patch panels, cables, connectors, etc. was completed. 3. An Admaster tape reader for transmission of teletype messages was installed.
