Several times a year we invite distinguished guest
speakers to address some 300 to 500 employees of the
Central Intelligence Agency and of other agencies of the
Intelligence Community on topics of concern in varlous
fields, including science, diplomacy, and public policy.
Our objective is to improve understanding as well as
provide an intellectual stimulus for our employees.
Among recent guests have been 1".1essrs. Clark Clifford,
John Kenneth Galbraith, and John King pairbank. I believe
the program, now in its fifth year, has been successful.
It would give me a great deal of pleasure to have
you serve as the CIA Guest Speaker on Tuesday, `ay 1979,
at 3:00 p.m. in our Ueadquarters Auditorium. The topic
I have in nnind is "Intelligence and the Legal System."
The Guest Speaker Program consists of a formal lecture
of approximately 45 minutes, followe4 by a 30-ma inute iestion
period. Lectures are usually scheduled 3:00 to 4:15 p N.
If 6 1.1ay is not convenient for you, we would be 1 ppy
to discuss another date. Our program usually runs on -the uj
second Tuesday of the month, but we can easily adjust'-
to suit your schedule.
