SUBJECT Follow-up to DDCI's FOIA Testimony Before HPSCI
1. As distributees are aware, Mr. Carlucci promised;-.
during the Executive session of the House Permanent Select
Committee on Intelligence Subcommittee on Legislation's FOIA
hearing, to deliver to them at a later date certain items not
available at that time. I have in my possession the transcript
from that hearing which I have reviewed in order to determine
those items not et provided the Subcommittee. They are as
follows:
- The Committee requested newspaper article(s)
and other relevant information which we have relating
to the activities of the Carlton Press vis-a-vis the
FOIA. I believe that ould be in
the best position to pull together this material.
-- The Committee asked for a copy of the affadavit
relating to the C.K. Liew request which described the
nature of our deletions. OGC would be in the best

position to handle this item.

-- The question was asked whether Mr. Epstein
uncovered any of his information utilized in his book
through the FOIA process. Again, Icould best 2
service this request.

-- Mr. Carlucci also stated that he would check
with the Department of Justice regarding the status of
the possibility of bringing criminal charges against
Mr. Agee. OGC, again, would be the best source for
