SUBJECT: Meeting with Pat Holt. Consultant, Senate Foreign Relations
Committee
Met with Mr. Pat Holt and procured from him a copy of the
Ruth Montgomery article of 13 May, which appeared in an Ohio news-
paper. I also discussed at some length with him the Agency appear-
ance before the Foreign Relations Committee on Tuesday afternoon.
Mr. Holt indicated that he was as surprised as anyone that one of the
topics for discussion was the possible support by a Federal agency of
source of the query that gave rise to that topic. Although Pat was
somewhat "officially" embarrassed, the situation did not appear to
to
raw
.
It was discussed in general terms along with other topics from some
30 minutes.
