Dear Mr. Knoche:
You made a remarkable contribution to the Senate Youth Program.
I refer, of course, to the enlightening address you gave to the
102 delegates, staff and escort officers of this year's event.
Although I was unable to be present, the Foundation representatives
told me of the delegates' enthusiastic response to your talk and
of the frank responses you gave to their numerous questions.
It was very kind of you to take time from your busy schedule to
meet with the group. Your participation added strength and mean-
ing to the week's internship and helped greatly to make the Program
a huge success.
I would appreciate your extending our thanks to Barbara Pindar, who
I am told gave much assistance in arranging the visit to the CIA.
On behalf of the Trustees of the William Randolph Hearst Foundation
and the student delegates, you have my gratitude and appreciation.
Since rejy,
Randolph A. Hearst
