'CT : Reorganization of the United States Intelligence Board
1. ,In accordant* with the Memorandum for the Director
of Central Intelligence (DCI) from Mr. McGeorge Bundy of
5 February 1964, the reorganization of the United States Intelligence
Board (USIB) was put into effect at the close of the USIB Meeting
an 4 March 1964. Mr. McCone advised Mr. Bundy by rnemorandu
dated 3 March of this action, as well as certain related arrangements
which he was making in agreement with General Carroll.
2. Mr. Bundy'a memorandum of 5 February also authorized
Mr. McCone to effect changes In existing directives necessary to
implement this reorganization. Pursuant thereto, the Director of
Central Intelligence, with the concurrence of the Director. Defense
Intelligence Agency, has approved necessary amendments in National
Security Ceauncil. Intelligence Directive (NSCID) No. I as shown in
the attachment hereto.
3. Accordingly. Mr. McCone has asked that I make
ppropriate arrangements with you for the issuance of a revised
KSCID No. 1.
