The Outlook for Iran
Published 3 March 1959
NIE 34-59 failed to anticipate the private investment boom and
the inflationary strains which this has placed on Iran's economy. It
also overstated the degree of Soviet pressure which would be brought
to bear on Iran. In general, however, the paper remains basically
valid.
