THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION 50X1-HUM group of 170 Soviet and 80 Hungarian officers arrived" 50X1-HUM YD-242352, near RRyangyang, to assist in the training of North Korean armor units. About 50 civilian houses in the area were used as billets for the 50X1-HUM advisers.. A Chinese Communist battalion guarded the area. one of the,Soviets was supervising the construction of 2 x 120-mm, and 2 x 35-mm. anti-aircraft gun positions at YDQ355256. course on the operation of 120-mm. (sic) and 35-mm. (sic) anti-aircraft guns under the direction of these Soviet and Hungarian officers. 50X1-HUM ]80 North Korean army artillery officers began a 2-week 50X1-HUM five Soviets dressed in Chinese Communist winter uniforms p.nd 50X1-HUM two interpreters arrived at Tongkochii (approximately YC-606652), near Obongrni (125-599 38-32) (YC-6o69), in jeeps. The Soviets stayed Pt 50X1-HUM Tongkochi several days inspecting documents of the district (rayon), co mty (gun), and provincial government people's committees, The Soviets and not 50X1-HUM leave their billet during their stay and were visited by only a few high- ranking officers.
