1. The WOP (Military Border Guard.) battalion stationed at .Chojna (Koenisberg
Newmark) l -is responsible toy-the area from. Gryfino (Grelfenhagen =O5 I1j 5 3) ,
along the northern part,of the German-Polish border to Cedynia (Zehden) .in the
south. The unit maintains the following sub-posts:
Cedynia
Lubiichow (Luebbichew)
Kra jrnik Gorny (Hohenkraenig)
Piaskt (Paatzig)
Widuchowa (F iddichow )
G.ryfin
Each of the

sub-posts has its own.concrete bunker.for use asa.machine gun
2. The chief personnel of the Chojna.battalion are as follows:
a. Captain (fnu) Mucha: commanding officer, about )4Q, tall, thin, blond,
looks emaciated, married. He attended an officers? school in the USSR
and. is. a Communist.
b. Captain Boleslaw (YT iu): battalio-n quartermaster, about 35, blond wavy
hair, tall, blue eyes. He came to Poland from West.Germany in 1945
He is not married and is,well-liked. He alternately praise: both
Eastern and Western policies
c Lieutenant (fnu) Kupczyk: former political officer, 35, blue eyes; blond,
tall, unmarried, a.Communist. He is near-sighted and wears light horn
rimmed glasses. He was recently transferred to...Szczectn..._($tettin).
1> Comment: Other information stated that the Tr1C}P battalion at
ojna was subor mate to the 12th TIOP Brigade at Szczecin.
