THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
This watch factory at Ulica Wigury 21, Lodz, produces time fuses for bombs.
2. The factory M-32, formerly called Katoda, at Ulica Rudzka 6,.Lodz, produces
high frequency transformers and 6therAelectronic equipment for the, Army. A
new building, 70 by 30 meters and two stories hig1}, is being.built for this
factory.
3. Lists were being prepared of 25,000 persons who will be forcibly evacuated
from Lodz. They are professional men,, doctors and lawyers, As well as mer-
chants, artisans, real estate owners, retired persons, and others-.who are
considered enemies of the regime.
. A railroad line has been constructed to the airport locited. on the Bzura
River, seven kilometers northwest of Leczyca (Q53/077),
5. At the beginning,of July, a mopping up of partisans td k place in the forests
near Makowa Gora., not far from Faliszewo (Q53/J43). Seven UB (Security ,
Police) men were killed, and there were several arrests. Communication with
..the,region was forbidden, and the police patrolled the area with dogs. A
similar incident oncurred near Lipczyceq not far from Radomsl (Q52/T96).,
6. It was reported early in September 1952 that Greek children, carried away
from their homes during the guerrilla c4mpaigns after World War II, were
quartered, in barracks in Lodz in the Kolonia Robotnicza Nastokach at $1;'
,istopa&. The children, aged 15 to 17, were working in a textile factory
At ul,, Ofiar 10-go, Wrzesnia (Q52/TS.6).
7. At Lodz, Polish Army personnel are currently giving courses of instruction in
automobile and truck driving. Members of sport associations are also taking
part in this program, which is being carried through in considerable baste.

8. The civil airport at tublinek(Q52/083) has been separated from the military
one. Labor gangs are at work there on some sort of construction project.
9. The Lodz power plant prepared a plan whereby current in private homes in cer-
tain quarters of the city will be turned off three or four times a~week be-
tween the hours of 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. This plan was not to go into effect,, however,
until after the elections in October 1952. Until then, the electric voltage
was merely lowered, resulting in dim lighting.
