2. he ovosmalt Plant was. farmerly known as the Coburg Wire Factory.
there were about five thousand workers in the factory. In 1950 there were
e.e shifts working 24+ hours a day. Various kinds of wire fences, buckets,
ice boxes and cooking stoves were being produced. The director vas R by the

Point #1 SMALL CREEK, approximately 2 m. wide; there were trees on both sides.
#2 DOUBLE RAILROAD TRACKS leading from Trnava to Bratislava.
#3 SMOKE STACKS, approximately 70 m. high.
#4 TWO FACTORY BUILDINGS; constructed of brick, approximately 120 m long,
30 m wide and 15 m high. They had gabled roofs constructed of steel
and glass.
#5 ROAD, leading from Trnava to the factory. It had a concrete surface and
was approximately eight m wide.

and three sk;cries high. The workers of the factory lived in these apartments.
#7 MACHINE SHOP, constructed of brick, approximately 60 m long,'
15 m wide and 20 m high; it had a gabled, glass covered roof.
#8 ADMINISTRATION BUILDING, constructed of brick, approximately
15 m long and six m wide; it had,a gabled type roof covered
.with tile.

GARAGE, constructed of brick, approximately 15 m by eight m;
it had a flat roof.
#10 RECREATION HALL constructed of brick,.approximately 50 m long,
20 m wide and lb m high; it had a flat roof.
#11 ENTRANCE, approximately six m wide; it had steel doors. Two
industrial police armed with pistols or carbines patrolled this
.gate 24 hours a day. This was the only entrance to the plant.
#12 FIRST AID STATION, constructed of brick, approximately 20 m long,
six m wide; it had a gabled tile roof.

Point #1 RAILROAD REPAIR SHOE located ' east, f the Kovosmalt
railroad cars of sugar beets are processed in a single day.
Plant. Approximately
300 workers are there. They repair all types.of railroad.cars
and also produce a type of railroad car that looks like a
streetcar but. runs on gasoline.
SUGAR FACTORY, located approximately two km L:;e;r?thof the Kovosmalt
Plant. It covered an area of about 800 m in length and 300 m
in width. A red brick wall approximately six m in height
surrounded this factory. A chimney constructed of brick, about
115 m in height,was also observed there. This was the tallest
chimney in the vicinity of the city of Trnava. It was the
largest sugar factory in Czechoslovakia. Approximately 450
