1. Antenna part
Discussions concerning the construction of the hollow mirror. have started
with the construction department and the laboratory workshop. In these
discussions the following dimensions were given for the mirror: length 150 cm
and breadth 50 cm. The concentration of the beam is height 15? and width

2. Mixer stage
The mixer stage has been set up experimentally and works satisfactorily. A
second laboratory sample has been ordered. The electrical parts for the mix-
er stage are still to be silvered. State of laboratory development - 50;6.
3. Oscillator- fine tuning arrangement (Nachstimmeinrichtung)
This has been set up in the laboratory. A trial test can now be carried out
in conjunction with the transmitt-ina and receiving parts of the equipment.
State of development 50%.
. Pulse and test equipment
This is ready and has been put into service. The HF output of the pulse
transmitter is 29 KW.

5. I.F. amplifier
Construction of the I.F. amplifier cannot proceed further for the tinq
being since the EC81 oscillator tube of the test oscillator ci fective 50X1-HUM
and no substitute is available, a replace-
ment tube is to be obtained as soon as possible

6. Wave guide
The necessary drawn square brass tube is not available and must be obtained
from the West. The wave guides used so far are made by bending three sides
and soldering on the fourth.
7. The pre-amplifier
The pre-amplifier is ready and has been tested in conjunction with the mixer
stage. The amplifier works satisfactorily, Stage of development 50%.
8. Simultaneous transmitting and receiving circuit
Work on the construction of this circuit will begin shortly, since discus-
sions have been completed with the laboratory workshop.
9. Date for completion of prototype of anti-collision equipment
The target date for completion of a laboratory model of the equipment is
October 1953.
