THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
to On 13 August the headquarters of the Chinese Communist 38 Army was in a series
of shelters at the southern foot of Hill 535 at approximately 127-019 38-29
(CT-278621).
2. Attached to this headquarters was a large supply depot) Sixty -to eighty trucks
were used to transport supplies to the depot. Rice, corn, and sorghum were
stored on the side of -the hill in about 180 piles covered with tents between
20 and 30 meters long, 3 hemp bags wide, and 15 hemp bags high., Arms and
ammunition were unloaded in shelters at the foot of the hill o About 20 trucks
transported the supplies to the front at night through Oktong.ni (127.07, 384, 7}
(CT-3657) and P4yongya:ng (C':-5251), Some of these supplies were stored
temporarily beneath a bridge which crossed the stream about one kilometer from
Oktong-ni, 2
