The new regulations of the Rumanian Popular Republic (RPR) Army were trarsa- 25X1
2. In the regulations, there was a notatio:Z that the latest methods for
organizing and conducting battles are therein described. These methods
were based upon the experience obtained from the Korean fighting. The
military operations carried on in the summer camps of the RPR Army applied
exactly the regulations learned in the theoretical courses.
3. An infantry regirrent is organized as follows. Command Group, General Staff,
Political Apparatus Units. It includes:
a o Three infantry battalions
b. One artillery unit (Company strength)
co One company of 120 millimeter mortars
d. One pistol company
e. One company of pioneers
f. One company of communications
g. One scout platoon

complement of eight soldiers for each piece.

1. Four mortars of 120 mn caliber of either Soviet or
Resita type.
2. Twelve automatic pistols for officers, sub-officers and
sergeants.
Forty-four ZB rifles for the rest of the troops.
t. Organization of the Pistol Platoon (sic - probably means "Company")
(1) Command Group - Organization similar to that of the rifle company
(sic).
(2) Three platoons of three squads each and 12 men in each squad.
Each platoon has one officer and one sub-officer.
(a) Armament.
1. Twenty-six automatic pistols - Soviet type PPS - for the
whole complement, incl-zding the command group.

"divizie" which means a division.
