1.. Delivery of ten A-1 aerial training devices from .Carl Leiss
Jena to the Russians was scheduled to take place in August 1952_
It was the first lotoof a total of 79 devices,to be delivered during
1952. Delivery will now probably be delayed because of a last-
riirute change in Russian directives.
In July 1952, the Russians requested that a completed instrument be
subjected to a. 1,000-hour test and that delivery not beck
eiss pointed out to the

3. :.hen Zeiss manufactured the first lot of 200 A-1 devices for the Russians,
one instrument was given a long. test,, The devices were delivered
and accepted at the time without waiting for the outcome of the test.,
