Rangoon office- is at.l6th Street ,and serves as a Cent~?,al Board in assacia-
tion with various other local Chinese associations. When the Ghineae
Communist Government xeceived off3,cia1 recognition from the Government of
Burins, (GOB) on 17 ~7eeember 1949, the Party was instructed by its head-.
quarters and by the Chinese Communist Government to,l.aok:~,ft,er all the
property owned .by that Government in Burma. Since then, the party ha,s
functipned as a contact With the" GOB in arranging meetings and holding
receptions on behalf of its awn diplomats. The rate played by the Tang
Mong Hui is no 1ess.impartant than that of the Chinese Embaas.y in Rangoon.
It performs such work as intelligence ope~?ations, propa.ganda~ and the..~job
of Winning the local. Chinese population aver to the Chinese Communist
Government . It performs the work which the Chizae se Emba,s.sy .cannot officially
