day and night at the testing field in the woods at Nisko (R51/ '89) .
., :Elblag !~E1bir.g) is a ttra"nsshipment base for export of heavy railroad equip-
ment from Poland to the Soviet Union, as well as for other products'. Elblag
is particularly used for forwarding Polish .loco: otives eastward. The locomo-
tives are manufactured at the OF. Stalin Works (former Cegi.elski Works) in
Poznan and are sent on normal gauge tracks to Elblag. `,T%eres the axle width
is adjusted to broad gauge tracks and the locomotives are sent on further.
3a The. metal works in Elblag have ben rebuilt following the sabotage fire in
1949. Ship engines,` among other things' are assembled there.
