THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION
1. Part of the scheduled production of Maschinenfabrik, Sangerhausen'for 1952
includes the followingo.
130 sludge pumps
120 shaft sinking winches for the mining industry
spare parts for cement factories (reparations)
machinery for the 'sugar beet industry
2. The term "sludge pumps" is only a cover name for oil pumps. These are 2.5
meters long, 2 meters wide, and 1.6 meters in height, The air covers for
the pumps have to be capable of withstanding a pressure of 220 atmospheres.
One hundred of these air cavern are being produced at the Frankleben steel
forks They are about 85 cm. long and have a diameter of 22 cm. The boilers
measure 36 m. (sic) x 2.5_m. They are-made of welded sheet iron.
3. The Maschinenfabrik, Sangerhausen, in its production of sparg parts for cement
factories, receives some 20 tons of. steel castings per month of-F ~o
The parts produced are spur and toothed wheels and pinions.
4. Electric power at Sangerhausen is provided on the spot by two steam engines.
The current provided is insufficient and the plant has to draw on the public
grid, - - -
About 1,200.hands are. employed at Sf, at Maschinenfabrik, Sangerhausen.
The production of oil pumps is also in progress in Buckau-Wblf, Magdeburg,,
where the 1952 production totals 1,000 itemsi and at the Peniger Maschinen=
fabrik, whose production figures are not known.

Comment, It is, not clear whether planned production for 1952 or
actual production, for the first quarter of 1952 is indicated.
