From ong, the 20,000 former German freight cars which have been returned
against payment 2 by the Soviets to East Germany in the second half of 1951,
40 percent have been put back into service, 20 percent have been sent to
plants for repair, and 1.0 percent proved to be completely useless and were
used for scrap.
