1. In early 1952, a naval school for b?ys2 named after the Soviet Admiral
Nakhimovy was opened in Varna. Cadets are selected from students with good
scholastic records whose families are loyal to the Communist regime.
2. The training course lasts six years and includes special courses dealing
with Soviet history and the Soviet Navy. Cadets wear a naval uniform. with
a special shoulder patch. Upon graduation, high. ranking cadets may enter
the Soviet Naval Academy.
