As of March 1947, 'the 19 Infantry Regiment, commanded by Iliya Shopov, was
stationed at .Razgrada
3e As of October 1947, the 27 Infantry Regiment, which operated a regimental
corporals& school, was stationed at Smolyane. Lieutenant Colonel Genchev and
Sergeant Draganov were medical personnel of the regiment.
44 As of April 1949, the 3 Border .company was stationed at Chorbadzhiysko. T"n 1948,
the company commander was Captain :?risto F.olehev who was sent to a military
school in the USSR; 50X1-HUM
5 The Dobrich airfield is under construction north of the city; only a?u:thor:ized
personnel were allowed access to the field. Approximately 20-30 monoplanes and
bi-planes were stationed at the field; the planes were used mostly for training
purposes 1
64 There were brick fortifications one meter wide and 7,5 meters deep extending for
an unknown distance approximately seven or eight meters igside the ll"urki.sh-Bu.l-
garian border south of,Elkhovo noted two concrete bunkers a:nd barbed
wire entanglements in front of the fortifications between Lesovo and Go.lyam 50X1-HUM
