? 1. The following -is based on a report rade for Zeiss, Jena, on a conference
of a Zeiss representative with members of the Soviet Trade Delegations
Berlin, on 24 and 25 larch. -1952. The Russians present during the con-

2,- The conference dealt with the following subjects:
a. Doctnentation of Al Device
The Zeiss representative (fnu) Starke told the Russian deleeates
that his firr includes with every device shipped all the necessary
technical documentation and instructions, as was done with the first
order of 200 devices. The Tvassiane deranded an additional cornre-
hensive descriotion for each device. Starke pointed out that Zeiss
had alrealy? during the middle of 1954 forwarded 500 auch descris-
tions for the 200 devices shinned and that he saw no reason for
sending along additional copies. es-,esially since the preparations
of such descristions would require a 3ot of timo. The Russians agreed
to contact :Oscow insediately and to inforn Zeiss of it decision,,

The Russians agreed to accept decolith in place of sheet ictal in
the ranufacture of cape for switch relays.

The Zeiss representative requested permiesion to exhibit tbe
refreatore before it is shipped to Stalingrad* at the Leipzig
fair this tall. The, Russian delegate* Mere reluctant to kraut
the request because it involved a gift of the GerYLS31 people
and not an export order. They stated the permission mould
most likely not be granted because delivery of the planetarium.
