THIS IS UNEVALUATED INFORMATION and DFB took ~laee, - .,t tl. a behest of the 3ED at the Karl FJGr Ii'DN , J Marx Party Hochschule in Klein--IM[achnow 25X1 The purpose of this meeting was to proYide ideological clarification of the present status of the Deutsche Demokratische Republik. The point was care- fully made that the' DDR was politically and ideologically in no way to be compared with the Eastern Peoplers Democracies. On the contrary, the DDR was an unfinished part of the Germany now striving for unity. The anti- Fascist democratic order, which come into being at the end of World War II as the central principle for all. of Germany, is still the determining factor in that part of Germany east of the Elbe. All measures and developments in the DDR, which might be compared with structural elements of Soviet socialism or of the Eastern Peoples Democracies, are at best provisional in the DDR and must never be treated as a final condition, At the meetings these fur.- mental principles were presented as a line which must be clearly discussed within all. groups of "responsible friends of theILLEGIB Soviet Won". Persons -t the meeting were told that thin line explains The central political principle which the DDR follows is not planned to lead to the development of a People's Democracy or Socialism but to a unified Germany. Only when Germany is reunified, can those fundamental developments which already characterize "the progressive peoples", begin to take place in Germany. Those attending the meeting were assigned the task of indoctrinating every functionary and member of their respective organizations with the idea that. under no circumstances was the present political-social situation in the Soviet Zone to be presented as -a society being consistently developed to follow the Soviet e ple.- In.all schooling courses, it should be explained that Germany's situation is unique and incomparable, and the only political tagk of Germany is i.t reunification. Before the reunification of Germany, ideological questicm.e such as Peoplets Democracy, Socialism, ~;nd Communism are in no way pertit3.ent or capable of development.
