FANG Fang, secretary of the South China Sub-Bureau of the Chinese
Communist Party, arrived in Macao on 6 January 19520 On 7 January he
called a meeting of Communist officials on the second floor.of the Nan
Luang Trading Company and asked them to complete their preparatory work
for the "liberation" of Macao. Chinese Communist authdrities have
appointed FANG Fang to be the first mayor of Macao aft they take Macao
and have decided to give the name of Hao Chiang Shih (ys. 'I) to
Macao and attach it directly to Kwangtung Province, On 9 J ary FANG
