The following antiaircraft batteries and their locations were noted during the
period October 1950 to early December 1951::
1. Tirana area?
automatic firing weapons of 37 or 40 mm. located near the
.3outh end of the airfield (due west of the city).
b. 3 heavy weapons located in the northwest quadrant of the airfield area.
o. 11. or 5 light guns in positions south of the city proper.
d. 3 or 4 heavy guns in positions south of the city proper.
e. 2, heavy gun.: in the hills about 11 or 2 miles southeast of Tirana.
2., Orosh area:, 2 machine guns, approximately 200 yards from a summit located
it miles southeast of Orosh, probably belonging to a trail junction
machine gun post.
3. Banje area. 3 or 11 light guns and 2 heavy guns
oilfields or the reportedly unused airstrip.
