1. Chinese Communist forces on the North Korean battlefield have adopted the
method of distributing and storing munitions and explosives needed by the
combat troops inside residences of civilians who have connections with the
Communist Party. Many such storage places are in use and their number
depends primarily upon the requirements for munitions in any given area.
2. One such munitions stora place has been established in the house of
CHIN Ksiao-feng %t) in Hsiaoweits ?un (~~ ~fti', ) (? Souich' on}
three kilometers east of Ch' orwon (127-21, 38-15) in North Korea. CHIN
Hsiao-feng is a twelve or thirteen year old girl who is living with an old
couple over 70 years of age. Their house is a three-room building, all
crumbling in appearance. The munitions warehouse is built of concrete
z derneat? the house. It has two entrances, one beside a manure heap about
5 meters directly behind the middle room of the house and the other inside
the pig pen in the right hand room of the building.
3. Five tons of munitions are stored in this warehouse consisting of artillery
ammunition, grenades, land mines, rifle and machine gun ammunition. The old
man and his wife living in. the building are both veteran Communist Party
:members who have volunteered to care for this warehouse.
