On 15 December 1951. the Central and South China Navy sent 30 motor junks to Ch'iungchou (l10?21, 20-02) Bay to form the 1 Naval Guerrilla Corps, including 210 Indochinese sailors and 100 Chinese Communist sailors. This corps was to raid the Indochina coast. 2, In January 1952 Ch'enghai (116?4, 23.29) authorities ordered that all fisher- men in that area be organized. into sea patrol groups to guard against infiltra_, tion of Nationalist agents and to watch the movements of Nationalist naval vessels. 3. On 9 January the Chinese Communists completed the construction of a supply base at Sanchouao near Yulin, Hainan. 14.. On 17 January the submarines Numbers 622 and 623 docked at Yulin Harbor. 5. In late January, two 1,800-ton transports and two 1,100-ton transports docked at Weichou (l09- ,, 21-- ) Island. 6. In late January, 2L8 Chinese Communists and Indochinese technicians were employed building light vessels at Hsiying (110-2, 21-11) Shipyard. This yard opened on `i November x.951, with HUANG Hai ( W-) as director and Bay Van Un.g (k A 4 ) an Indochinese, as deputy director. 3 December this yard had built 12 armored motor junks and 10 motor junks.
